The Lake Arrowhead Film Festival proudly presents The World Premiere of “The Hollywood Graffiti Gown” Fighting Aids with Fashion™ !

The 2006 Lake Arrowhead Film Festival is proud to present the world premiere of the documentary, THE HOLLYWOOD GRAFFITI GOWN. The film was produced by Tyrone Murphy and directed by Annelie Wilder.

The documentary tells the story of the “million dollar gown” designed by Emmy Award-winning designers, Jerry Skeels and Randy McLaughlin. The gown, which depicts the signatures of over 350 of Hollywood’s most famous women, was unveiled at the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences in 2004. Since then, The Hollywood Graffiti Gown™ has become an important fundraising tool in the fight against AIDS. In fact, it is the centerpiece of an effort known as Fighting AIDS with Fashion™. Eventually, this priceless gown will be auctioned off with the proceeds donated to AIDS charities. Bidding is expected to begin at one million dollars.

The collection of celebrity signatures has taken nearly three decades and now includes Elizabeth Taylor, Bette Davis, Katherine Hepburn, Mother Teresa and two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank.

The LAFF is honored to have Mr. Skeels, Mr. McLaughlin, and Mr. Murphy in attendance to introduce the film. Katelyn d’Estes will model the gown following the screening.
