Christopher McDonald
The Lake Arrowhead Film Festival proudly presents A Salute to Christopher McDonald - One of the most gifted and prolific actors working today!

Christopher McDonald likes to make an impact. He drove his wife to a life of crime in Thelma and Louise. He tried to destroy the loveable Iron Giant. He predicted The Perfect Storm. And he attempted, unsuccessfully, to make Happy Gilmore… well… unhappy.

Described by the New York Times as one of the hardest working and most prolific actors in Hollywood, Lake Arrowhead resident Christopher McDonald continues to bring legendary characters to life with consistent acclaim. Born and raised in New York City, Christopher graduated cum laude from Hobart College, and has studied at the esteemed Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts, the London Academy of Music and the Stella Adler Acting Conservatory in New York.

To date, he has appeared in over 85 films, including Quiz Show, Broken Flowers, Spy Kids 2, Flubber and the Coen brothers’ The Man Who Wasn’t There. His film, Children on their Birthdays, screened at the LAFF in 2003. Christopher’s television work includes acclaimed series such as Family Law, Veronica’s Closet, and Cracking Up. He played legendary broadcaster Mel Allen for director Billy Crystal in HBO’s baseball feature 61*, and he recently starred as Billy Flynn in the New York theatrical hit, Chicago.

The LAFF is thrilled to present Christopher’s latest film, the new comedy Funny Money. Funny Money was produced, directed and co-written by Leslie Grief and stars, in addition to Christopher, Chevy Chase, Penelope Ann Miller, Armand Assante and Robert Loggia. Funny Money will screen Saturday evening at 8:15 pm in Theatre 1.
